Village Bible Church is seeking artists to submit original artwork for the Easter Art Exhibit that will be shown at the church and the Woodlands during this year’s Easter Celebration. The theme this year is “Risen” but the theme for artwork can also include any of the events in Jesus’ life during the week called Holy Week, Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Experience the delights of Spring Birding at the 2019 Arkansas Audubon Society spring convention, which will meet Friday May 3 through Sunday May 5 at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain. The convention will feature birding field trips and special presentations, including native plant designer and author Benjamin Vogt. Additionally, there will be a silent auction, door prizes, and opportunities to network with other wildlife enthusiasts. Friday registration lasts from 4-6 p.m. Registration is open now through the first night of the conference. On April 27, 2019, from 10am until 2pm at the HSV Police Station, 113 Calella Road, HSV will be participating in the State Wide Prescription Drug Take Back program. Bring any unused/expired prescription drugs to the HSV Police department for proper disposal. No liquids please.
